BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING!!!!

Dear family and friends

I had the privilege of visiting all the houses in Fsp past two months. The visiting’s this time had a big impact on me. God was able to soften my heart in a very unique way.
The vision behind Family support program was not only to help these families by educating the kids but it’s much more. It also focuses on the mother and her well-being.

This visit there were two particular family that needed extra help.
Samyuktha and Nivetha are granddaughters of Sundari(grandmother) the girls lost their mother 9 years ago. She killed herself because of torture from her husband who is an alcoholic. He left and remarried and never returned. Their grandmother is really old and unable to continue working. They live in a one room house with a toilet, kitchen, bed all in the same stretch
Grandmother Sundari had stroke twice this year, this has paralyzed half of her body which in return lead her to depression.  I was shocked to see her in this condition, very weak, bedridden, no hair, skinny, and depressed. Even at this state she is so worried for her two girls, the girls do all the work at home, help their grandma, change her diaper, feed her, bathe her and much more and to top it all they also need to concentrate on their studies.
There is no regular income so it’s hard for them to maintain the family, maintain hospital bills, provisions for the house, diapers for the grandma. They are in the hardest situation none of their relatives come forward to help this family they are left all alone. It broke my heart to see how much difficulties these girls have to face at this very small age. Samyuktha is in 10 std and this year she will be writing her public exam which is very crucial in order to pursue higher studies.

Another family that is going through a very difficult time is Jayanti and her three daughters.
Jayanthi is widowed mother of 3 girls and they live in a small house with a sheet roof. They live in a slum area with open drains and pump water. The mother works in housekeeping and earns  very little to maintain her family. Her husband died 4 years ago after he had a heart attack. She has been working ever since without any support from any one and is struggling to run her family with 3 girls.
Priyalakshmi is the oldest daughter who is 16 years old in grade 10. She is responsible and takes care of her sisters when her mother is away at work. Umashree is 11 years old in grade 6 and helps her mother with household chores and Shritika is 6 years old and studying in grade 1.
Jayanthi has been struggling with typhoid for two months, she was not able to go to work and provide for the family she was in bed and unable to take care of her kids, her older daughter was the one who took care of her mother and her sisters.
Even this family had no help from anyone during this painful situation.
Jayanti and her daughters.

So, I was able to share these two stories to the fsp management and we were able to bless them with provisions (milk, eggs, tea, oil, wheat rice, sugar, snacks, spices, fruits, vegetables cash in hand and more) for the house. I was so happy to shop for these things along with sisters and bless these families, to see the smile on their face and also see their prayers and wants to be fulfilled blessed my heart and encouraged me.

We have organized the Christmas Carnival for 170 kids 110 fsp kids and the others from several children’s home. It’s on the 16th of this month. The kids are so excited and happy that they are going to Nandi hills which is one hour and 30 min from K-homes.
There are several fun carnival games planned for that day and so many volunteers to help and so much of Blessings from Jesus. Waiting to see Gods presence and His hands on the carnival day.

Prayer Points:
Please pray for the carnival.
