Peace


Jesus has been so faithful to Family Support throughout this year, we continue to see His faithfulness in every small way. His love for the widows is so big that He continues to be on their side and provides unendingly. This past month we have seen His provision in FSP, we were able to support and help another 32 children in our program starting from this year. I have been quite busy, helping the mothers with paying the school fees for their kids. Planning events for FSP, Handling the administrative part of the program. Helping kids get settled in school.
I have also been getting things ready for my wedding, and slowly setting up the house as well. I find myself getting worried a lot and tensed for the smallest things, this is when God spoke to me through a Sunday church sermon,

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” - John 14:27

God has given us peace which is different from what the world offers to us, His peace is encouraging, it is true and most of all it is from the person who holds our future in his hands and cares for us like no one will.
For God is greater than our worried hearts and knows more about us than we do ourselves. It has been a journey of learning to worry less, I have found that finding peace depends largely on how willing I am to believe that God is greater than our worried hearts, that he’s bigger than our anxieties, and that he not only holds the future but knows more about it then we do.

Upcoming events in Fsp are:

·     Olympics for the FSP kids, it will be a day of fun sports, games and events lined up for them. A time where they can feel free, relaxed and enjoy, a day where the mothers can cheer for their children and have fun.
·     We are also planning to organize a retreat for the teenage girls at the end of this month. It is going to be a time where we teach them the Father Heart of God, their identity in Christ .
Prayer points:

·     Please pray that all the workshops and programmes that we planned for  this year will happen successfully.
·     Please pray for my MSW studies and the field work that I need to complete.
·     Please pray that I will become bold and grow confident in myself.
·     Pray for my wedding which is on 22.09.2018 .

The Journey of Empowerment    Dear Family and Friends I am enjoying my journey with FSP. There are things, which I learn every day. I had devoted myself to house visits this month. At present, we have 50 families with 131 children. These families are spread across four communities within Bangalore. It has been a wonderful journey this month personally visiting these families and getting to know a little more about them, spending time, loving them, listening to them and praying for them. Talking to the kids and encouraging them being an older sister to them. Sometimes they just need a person to listen and understand them. In the process of building lives, there is a tendency to be focused on results and outcomes that we may forget to focus on the person or the people group.              His Faithfulness Dear friends and Family, It’s been really amazing to see Gods hands on the Family Support Program. The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your  faithfulness . Small group Work at FSP has been hectic this past month,  a lot of administration work, house visiting’s, sponsor letters, and more. We were able to arrange a small group session for the older girls in our program. It was time of speaking truth about their identity and self-esteem. Their identity in Christ, and what he thinks about them and feels for them. We are planning to have this once every month. Small activities are planned to make it interesting and exciting.
