His Faithfulness

Dear friends and Family,

It’s been really amazing to see Gods hands on the Family Support Program. The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Small group
Work at FSP has been hectic this past month, a lot of administration work, house visiting’s, sponsor letters, and more. We were able to arrange a small group session for the older girls in our program. It was time of speaking truth about their identity and self-esteem. Their identity in Christ, and what he thinks about them and feels for them. We are planning to have this once every month. Small activities are planned to make it interesting and exciting. The girls had a very good time in the session.

Background:
Samyuktha and Nivetha are granddaughters of Sundari(grandmother) the girls lost their mother 9 years ago. She killed herself because of torture from her husband who is an alcoholic. He left and remarried and never returned. Their grandmother is really old and unable to continue working. They live in a one room house with a toilet, kitchen, bed all in the same stretch
Grandmother with her grand daughter
Grandmother Sundari had stroke twice this year, this has paralyzed half of her body which in return lead her to depression.  I was shocked to see her in this condition, very weak, bedridden, no hair, skinny, and depressed. Even at this state she is so worried for her two girls, the girls do all the work at home, help their grandma, change her diaper, feed her, bathe her and much more and to top it all they also need to concentrate on their studies.
There is no regular income so it’s hard for them to maintain the family, maintain hospital bills, provisions for the house, diapers for the grandma. They are in the hardest situation none of their relatives come forward to help this family they are left all alone. It broke my heart to see how much difficulties these girls have to face at this very small age. Samyuktha is in 10 std and this year she will be writing her public exam which is very crucial in order to pursue higher studies.

We were able to help this family a little extra these past few months. Providing groceries, supplies, toiletries. Visiting her and the girls, making sure they have everything making sure they are doing good. The last week I had gone to visit her and girls, the grandmother was not doing well at all she was in so much pain.
She was talking to me and was also willing to stay in an old age home and have people help her. We prayed for her and encouraged the girls and gave them the supplies for the month.

In the morning, I got a call from one of the girls crying and she told me that her grandmother passed away. I was devastated and broken, I just saw her the previous day. I had gone to see the girls and comfort them. That day was not easy, but we know she is in god hands and she is relieved from pain.
We are looking for a safe place for the girls to stay and still pursue their education.
